Alinsangan Festival is an annual occasion to celebrate a festive and bountiful year of harvest of the Nabueños. It is celebrated yearly every first day of May. As a part of the Nabueñan tradition, this festivity has several activities integrated together to form part of the whole occasion. One of which is the Civic Parade.

This year’s Civic Parade happened last May 1, 2011. The said parade involved the different Barangays within the municipality of Nabua, social, civic or religious organizations, government organizations, non-government organizations and other organizations who wanted to participate in the Annual Town Fiesta Celebration of the Municipality of Nabua.

Volunteers from Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges – Red Cross Youth Council (CSPC-RCYC) provided first aid service and medical assistance as an affirmative response to the invitation sent by Mrs. Elenita C. Renovalles, the Chairman on Civic Parade.

The supposed start of the Civic Street Parade was scheduled at 6:30 in the morning, which was not realized as the parade started at 8:00 in the morning. The route of the parade started from the assembly area (Nabua National High School Ground), going to Poblacion area passing the Nabua Municipal Hall, San Isidro Street, Boneo Street, San Juan Street, Tinago Street, Ilang-ilang Street, San Antonio (Poblacion) Masagana Street, Advincula Street, Fortuno Street, Balatan Street, Bolivar Street, J. Luna Street, Trese de Mayo, and to First of May straight back to Nabua National High School ground. The volunteers had been divided into three groups in order to accommodate the huge number of participants.

The volunteers served vigilantly to the participants who wanted to avail Medical services until the activity ended at high noon.
