Red Cross Youth Month is a month-long celebration every October. For this year’s Celebration, the Chapter decided to utilize the whole month of October – consisting of an Opening Program, various Red Cross campaigns and Closing Program. There are also various competitions for the participating schools.

The Opening Program was scheduled in the 15th day of October. The venue was at Naga College Foundation. It was started with a Gimmick Parade from the Philippine Red Cross – Camarines Sur Chapter Office to Naga College Foundation. The Camarines Sur Polytechnic Colleges – Red Cross Youth Council (CSPC-RCYC) failed to attend the Gimmick Parade because they have other important appointments to settle.

The CSPC-RCYC arrived at the venue at around 9:30 in the morning. There were only six representatives from the council because there had been conflict with regards to the schedule. Upon the arrival of the participants, their presence was acknowledged by Mr. Elvis Lumame, the emcee of the program. The participants for the Poster Making contest were called to proceed at the side of the open hall where there were a long table was placed. Shortly after the participants settled on their seats and prepared their materials, the participants for the Vocal Solo were called to proceed at the back of the stage.

Poster Making contest and Vocal Solo competitions were simultaneously done. The Central Bicol State University of Agriculture was the only one with an entry in Doble-kara, therefore the lone contestant was already announced as the winner (by default).

Before the program ended at high noon, the emcee declared upon the participants that the winners for the events would be announced on the Closing Program scheduled on October 29, 2011.
